Workflows

Automations that are checked before they run.

A workflow that touches your books or your customers should not be a guess. Each one is researched, written down, tested and checked before it goes live.

From request to live workflow

1 · Describe it

Tell the Co-Pilot, or us, what the routine is. Plain English is enough.

2 · Research

The workflow engine looks at how experienced practitioners do the job. Quotes it relies on are matched word for word against the source. A quote that cannot be matched is not treated as evidence.

3 · Specify

It writes the workflow as a typed specification: what starts it, what it needs, each step, and which steps need a person.

4 · Check

The workflow has to pass the checks below before it can be released.

5 · Go live

You test it in your own desk first. It runs for real when you approve it.

The 14 checks

A workflow is released only when every check has a recorded result.

01 · Schema

The workflow is written in a fixed format, so a malformed one cannot be released.

02 · Blast audit

Every step is classified by what it can touch, such as money, outgoing messages or deletions.

03 · Unverified settings

Any setting that no checked source supports is marked unverified and left for you to decide.

04 · Scope

The workflow does what was asked and nothing more.

05 · Build and test

It is built and run against tests.

06 · Matches the spec

The finished workflow is compared with its written specification.

07 · Required tests

The edge cases the research turned up each have a test.

08 · Mutation check

Bugs are planted on purpose to confirm the tests catch them.

09 · Secrets and sample data

Scans for credentials and for real customer data in test fixtures.

10 · Workflow lint

Static checks specific to workflows.

11 · Skill evaluations

Steps that use AI are scored against examples.

12 · Integrity

The files that ship are the files that were checked.

13 · Review reconcile

Reviewer findings are matched to fixes.

14 · Replay

The run is replayed to confirm it behaves the same way.

Start with three.

The Workflow Plan starts at 3 live workflows. Add more whenever you find another routine worth automating.
